I am very lucky to have just returned home from a wonderful holiday in Barcelona. Not only did I find two Desigual shops
which is arguably one of my best selling preloved second hand brands I stock at My Ex Wardrobe but I also found the most beautiful tiny little Artisan street. I immediately knew I had found the hidden gem of Barcelona gothic quarter. Slowly wandering down I found one by one some small unique one off shops. Most of the items I found inside were recycled metals and gems made into jewellery or material made into art and other clothing. 
My favourite shop was a recycling campaign using old car seatbelts and leathers or they reused tough materials from vehicles that made bags and backpacks as well as purses. Each bag or purse had a different picture hand drawn and printed onto it so each item is completely unique. I thought the use of the seatbelts as across the body straps was such an amazing use for upcycling old unused items. It was amazing to see other one off sustainable fashion and accessory boutiques. Sustainable and recycled fashion is definately catching on more and more and looks like it is here to stay so start searching for those unique upcycled items where ever you go and of course come and visit our shop in Exeter or visit our second hand preloved designer online store here!
