The designer boots (and shoes!) to be seen in

Second hand designer boots

Ok so the clocks have gone back and it’s suddenly feeling like winter, but the good news is that it’s the perfect season to rock those designer boots as we tread the leaf-scattered pavements. Winter is all about cosying up in style and showing off our favourite shoes and boots. Whether you’re all about the sassy knee high boots or you like to keep it a little more casual, let’s take a look at some of the styles that are proving popular for winter 2018.

Western boots

We’re pretty sure you weren’t expecting us to start with this one, but it’s true – brightly coloured western-style boots are having a moment in the limelight this season. If you’re thinking about treating yourself to a pair of designer boots that keep you standing out from the crown during winter…these are perfect.

You can go the whole hog with buckles and a fringe, or keep it a little more elegant for a contemporary look. The main thing is, the block heels on the new take on western boots makes them deceptively comfortable, so you can look fab while you do your Christmas shopping without the achey feet!

'Ugly' trainers

Next up, it’s the ‘ugly’ trainers that don’t look great but feel ever so comfy. This season’s all about chunky sneakers that go with everything, so it’s time to face your fear of trainers in public. If you’re not too sure if this trend’s for you, start with a plain white pair and get used to teaming them up with your favourite outfits. Then, you can work your way up to trying different styles and confident colours that make your usual outfits into fashion statements.

Look on the bright side, there’ll be no more missing the gym after work when you forget to pack your trainers!

The new take on Mary Janes

The preppy style of Mary Janes has had a bit of a makeover for this winter, so expect patent leather looks and shiny buckles that’ll make you feel like you’re back in the classroom. Take your pick from flats, heeled versions, pointy and curved toe, and part of the fun’s in choosing the right pair for your wardrobe.

Whether you’re planning on treating yourself to a pair of this season’s hottest designer shoes, or you’re making space in your wardrobe and you have a vintage pair of one of the styles above, we’d love to hear from you here at My Ex Wardrobe.
